As a clear sign of our ambition to provide a leading service to clients across the Asia-Pacific region, David Streatfield has joined GIS HK as its Managing Director - Head of Asian Sales.

This appointment further expands our breadth and depth of knowledge, as well as strengthening our capability and client and counterparty relationships in the APAC region. With extensive and varied industry experience David is a valuable addition to the team at GIS HK.

With over 20 years of experience in investment banking, David has previously worked for global institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, HSBC and Nomura International, where he helped to establish successful client franchises.

His experience is extensive, something recognised by the chairman of GIS group, John Gunn;

Key specialities

David has specialist experience that he brings to the team at GIS HK. These include synthetic equity, fixed income, digital assets and financing. During his most recent appointment at Nomura International, he was responsible for growing the non-Japan part of Nomura Prime Asian business with a heavy emphasis on hedge funds and cross-selling alternatives including digital assets, fixed income and private credit. 

Prior to that, he worked at Haitong International Securities where he was responsible for building the international synthetic prime business for the company including presenting, marketing and selling the new business to clients.
